The injections may sting for a few seconds however pain is not experienced due to the application of a topical numbing agent. You may experience:
-
Redness in the treatment area for 24 hours which is usually resolved within 24 hours
-
Swelling in the treatment area can last for 3 to 5 days
-
Bruising in the treatment area can last for 7 to 10 days.
How It Works
Dermal filler injections are made up of hyaluronic acid (HA) – a naturally occurring substance in the skin that stabilizes and binds to water which results in improved elasticity. HA fills in spaces that have volume loss or areas that need increased volume. Injection sites are the cheeks, lips, chin, jowls, jawline and temples
